Unite Me by Tahereh Mafi

The moment I read the first novella, Destroy Me, I was literally destroyed. Because for those of you who don’t know, it basically overlaps the first few chapters of Unravel Me, but in Warner’s point of view.

These chapters in Warner’s point of view were very insightful and really gave a more clear image on his character and who he is as a person. Now, because I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone who doesn’t want it, I’ll just say;

Warner is already turning out to be such a misunderstood character and it kills me because I can’t believe I ever thought anything wrong about him 😫😫😫 I mean, he gave me The Darkling vibes before, but now he’s giving me Rhysand vibes as well.

But… Okay, moment of truth here… I LOVE WARNER MORE THAN RHYSAND. There. I said it. Don’t kill me please 🙈🙊

Now, lets talk about Fracture Me, which is (similarly to Destroy Me) a novella that overlaps the last few chapters of Unravel Me, but in Adam’s point of view.

Speaking of Adam, after finishing Fracture Me, I really wanted to fracture a bone in Adam’s body. Because he deserves it after the things he started saying. Like, I’m beginning to understand why people don’t like Adam. 0 to 100 real quick with him, eh? Get a grip, my man, those thoughts blooming in your head are getting unattractive faster than you’d think 🙄

And last but not least, let’s talk about the lovely little addition of Juliette’s journal. I really really liked that it was added, because it once again gave more insight into her state of mind while she was in that asylum, in the darkest part of her life. The words were poetic and raw and had so much soul to them.

For those of you who don’t know, I love poetry. And this was like poetry written by a character in a book I’m reading about so it made it feel even more special to me. I loved it.

This might sound a bit weird, but reading the journal helped me understand a little bit better than I already did how Warner must’ve been feeling as well.
